University art and culture

The exhibition spaces at UB are a vital component to cultural discourse and the educational experience we provide. The Department of Visual Studies Gallery is dedicated to presentation of undergraduate and graduate level student work. The University at Buffalo Art Galleries include a 6,000 square foot gallery within the Center for the Arts, as well as the Anderson Gallery, located off campus in residential north Buffalo. With a full-time director, curators and support staff, the UB Art Galleries’ mission is to bring current issues and practices in the visual arts to UB. The Gallery administers the Museum Studies Program and sponsors lectures by leading artists and critics, as well as symposia and publications.
