Joan
Linder Bio Joan Linder received a BFA from Tufts University with the school
of the
Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and an MFA in visual arts from Columbia
University. She has had solo exhibitions at DeChiara Stewart, Mixed Greens,
The Queens Museum of Art at Bulova Corporate Center and a White Room
at
White Columns. Her work has been included in group exhibitions at venues
that include Drawing Center, Art in General, Exit Art, The Museum of
Fine
Arts, Boston, the Bronx Museum of the Arts and the Aldrich. She has won
awards that include a Pollack Krasner Foundation Grant, The Ronnie Heyman
Prize from the National Foundation for Jewish Culture, and residency
fellowships at Yaddo, MacDowell, Art Omi and Skowhegan. From 1995–2001
Linder was curator of the Philip Morris Art Collection. She also
independently curated three exhibitions, In Its Own Way, Makor, New York,
NY
(2000); Vanishing Points, Michael Gold Gallery, New York, NY (1999),
Horizontal Vertigo, Rudolph Poissant Gallery, Houston, TX (1999). |
