2009 Rumsey Scholarship

Overview
The purpose of the Rumsey Scholarship is to provide funding for summer travel to students who wish to further develop their artistic practice. Approximately $3,000 is awarded each year to a student entering their senior year. Applicants must participate in a competitive exhibition, from which the Visual Studies faculty will select a scholarship winner based on the quality of both the exhibited sample work and the accompanying written travel proposal. Scholarship recipients are required to showcase the work resulting from their summer study in a Fall 2009 follow-up exhibition.
